How to Create a Photo Album on the iPhone

Using the photo album for storing and viewing images on your new iphone is similar to the way Tom Cruise looks through the pre-crime video streams from the Precogs, in the movie "Minority Report", except you don't need gloves or judges!
It's really cool!

The great news is, although it may seem like a complicated piece of technology to work, if you have fingers you can work it! Actually, I take that back, if you don't have fingers, you can still work it!

Personally I love the idea of having my phone, ipod (mp3 player for music or videos), internet access, e-mail, and all my photos in one state-of-the-art cool looking gadget!

WORD Of THE WISE: although grandparents love photos, I would stick to a good old fashion photo album as a present if I were you, that is unless yours is ther very techno-savy type of grandparent...

How to Go Natural: 10 Lifestyle Tips

Over the years I have become convinced that the vast majority of people are well intentioned about being eco-friendly, natural consumers, both for the sake of their families and the environment.

The obstacles keeping them from making eco-friendly consumer choices are usually lack of time to do the research, not knowing where to find the research to begin with, and the lack of convenient access to the products.

In response to this awareness I thought it might be helpful to tell you how I manage to live this lifestyle in my everyday life. Here are my tips about how I buy clothes, food, personal care products and furnishings; manage cleaning and pest control; and take care of my pets.

All About Abs – Everything You Need to Know About Abdominal Exercises & Workouts

Getting perfect abs is nothing short of an obsession for many people. Tons of programs, products and gimmicks promise “six pack abs” by confusing and misleading consumers. The right ab workouts can  help, but in the end, there is only one way to get the abs you want! You need a consistent, effective workout program that will help you burn fat and tone your abs. When it comes to abdominal workouts, here are the most essential things to know:

TARGET ALL FOUR ABDOMINAL MUSCLE GROUPS

One mistake many people make is to only work one or two sections of their abdominal muscles. There are FOUR layers of muscles in your abs! You need to work each layer/muscle group to effectively tone your abs.
Abdominal Exercises

    * Rectus Abdominis – This is the “six pack” muscle. This paired muscle runs from the front of your ribs down to your pelvis. This the muscle referred to when people say “upper abs” or “lower abs”, but it is actually one big muscle – of which different areas can be targeted. Typical “ab workouts” usually focus on this muscle.

Ek surur uske dil mein aya hoga,
Sochta hoga kya doonga tohfe mein tujhe,

Ek leher si ooth rahi hai mann mein mere,

Tumhe dehkti hoon to lagta hai tum mere liye banaaye gaye ho,
Tum yaad karti hoon to lagta hai ke tum sirf mere khwab banaaye gaye ho,
Tumhe paane ke liye jaan dene ko mann karta hai,
Tumhari yaad mein dil baar baar aahe bhartaa hai,
Lagtaa hai ke main jaan gayi hoon ke pyar kya hotaa hai,
Par tum bhi yeh jaan lo sanam,
Woh tum hi ho jise mera dil baar baar pyar kartaa hai.

Understanding Your Depression

Loneliness is a part of our life. We have experienced pain one way or another but after a few days, it subsides. We move on and find happiness again. This kind of cycle is not applicable for people who experience depression. For them, hope is non-existent. They just bask in their sadness and cease to move on.

Depression or Major Depressive Episode according to Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM) is characterized by a feeling of emptiness, sadness, and irritation. People who experience this episode appear tearful or easily move to tears. It usually last for 2 weeks or more. Depression can easily recur if it’s not attended properly.

The effect of this disorder intensifies to a point that a person has trouble sleeping.

Kenny's Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9

Kenny Pryde

Suzuki UK has loaned SuperBike magazine a GSX-R1000 K9 to use as a long term test bike through 2009. In the course of the year, we'll be doing all sorts with it, fitting performance parts, new tyres and all manner of tat to it. Needless to say if you've got questions, suggestions or abuse, send it here: Kenny_Pryde@ipcmedia.com and I will respond.

October!

Finally, five months into ownership, I get to take the K9 to a proper track (Castle Combe was fine but it's never going to please the ACU or the FIM when it comes to safety and run-off, is it?). Luckily, given our hit and miss summer, the bike and I arrived at Brands Indy circuit with sunshine and 21 degrees showing.

Meditation for Beginners: 20 Practical Tips for Quieting the Mind

Meditation is the art of focusing 100% of your attention in one area. The practice comes with a myriad of well-publicized health benefits including increased concentration, decreased anxiety, and a general feeling of happiness.

Although a great number of people try meditation at some point in their lives, a small percentage actually stick with it for the long-term. This is unfortunate, and a possible reason is that many beginners do not begin with a mindset needed to make the practice sustainable.

The purpose of this article is to provide 20 practical recommendations to help beginners get past the initial hurdles and integrate meditation over the long term:

Going for Cosmetic Surgery – Guide

Those who are considering cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation in Melbourne should research the topic to make sure they know all the risks involved as well as the benefits. It can certainly change and improve your shape and may well boost your confidence and self-esteem, but it does not change who you are on the inside – and therefore may not meet all your expectations. You need to be realistic rather than idealistic.

That said, if you live in the southern parts of the country and are a good candidate for this kind of cosmetic surgery, breast augmentation specialists in Melbourne are some of the best qualified to do the work. Having cosmetic surgery in Melbourne can improve your size and shape and make you feel better able to face the world.

Of course, plastic surgery in Melbourne is not only about breast augmentation; you could need a nose job for some reason. Maybe your nose was broken in an accident and you now find it hard to breathe easily.

Twitter Users Aren’t Interested in Supporting Your Brand

Bad news, Evil Corporations: Twitter tweeps aren’t your shills! A study by digital marketing agency 360i  reveals that only a sliver of consumer tweets forward branding messages. It notes that “more than 90-percent of tweets originate from consumers — and only 8-percent are authored by marketers.” Conversely, only 12-percent of all tweets mention a brand. (Click here for the full PDF report.)

When tweets do mention a brand, they’re usually talking about digital culture, with the top five mentions being Twitter itself, Apple, Google, YouTube and Microsoft. Those brand mentions are usually informational in nature (e.g., “French Politicians Ban Twitter From Heated Legislative Debate“), or about using the brand in question, while about “one-fifth of tweets mentioning brands demonstrate an outward opinion of the brand.”

Motorola Droid X review

The original Droid made a powerful statement. Actually, make that statements, plural: for Motorola, it was the largest single affirmation that it was going all-in with Android  (after having already released the far less memorable midrange CLIQ on T-Mobile) and that it could play in the very highest rungs of the smartphone elite. For Verizon, the Droid was the carrier’s very first Android device, period — announced to great fanfare in collaboration with Eric Schmidt and crew — serving as a pretty spectacular exit from the Windows Mobile / BlackBerry doldrums that the carrier’s smartphone lineup had historically suffered. By almost any measure, the phone  went on to serve its purpose; it let customers (and potential customers) know that Verizon could release a “cool” phone, and they responded. The Droid’s an unqualified success. Today, Verizon’s involvement in Android has never been greater, and Motorola — by all appearances, anyway — seems to be on its way back from the brink.

Time stops for no phone, though, and we’re now halfway through 2010. Motorola’s success as a competitive phone manufacturer is ultimately going to depend not on its ability to produce a single hit, but to produce a never-ending string of hits, each better than the one before it. It’s a tall order — and that’s exactly where the Droid X comes into play. Featuring a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 8 megapixel camera with 720p video capture, a reworked user interface, and a significantly improved processor, this phone apes the first Droid in at least one critical aspect: its ability to immediately steal the spotlight from anything else in Verizon’s lineup. Specs don’t tell the whole story, though, so let’s dig in and see what this beast is all about.

BlackBerry Torch reviewBlackBerry Torch review

When we began our review of the BlackBerry Torch (aka the Bold 9800), our hearts were all aflutter. The leaked shots we’d been seeing of some kind of Palm Pre-esque RIM  slider were different and frankly weird enough to cause a kind of low hum gadget lust. Furthermore, although no one on the Engadget  team was blown away by what the company had shown us in recent BlackBerry OS 6 demo videos, the promise of a substantially revamped UI and new, Webkit-powered browser certainly got us interested. Even if Research in Motion had been slipping on its once-unassailable smartphone game, there was a sentiment amongst the team that the opportunity for a return to innovative, industry-driving design was wide open for the Canadian company. So when we got our very own Torch to play with, we were understandably excited. A new OS, a new form-factor (completely  new for RIM), and from what we could tell, a new outlook from the company about where it wanted to target this product: namely, the average consumer. A great story in the making, no? But it’s a fiercely competitive market out there, with devices like the EVO 4G, iPhone 4, and Galaxy S  line all vying for the hearts, minds, and pocketbooks of the buyer. Can the BlackBerry Torch pick up where hugely successful models like the Curve and Bold have left off? Or is the new phone too little  and too late in an industry where technology advances not by tiny step but leaps and bounds? Get the answer to that question — and many, many more — in the full Engadget review below!
